Its such a nice video! I know the tryouts are in sutton tennis academy. Does anyone know whether the gymnastics centre will be built, or if tumbles will be performed on their sprung tumble track? I'm worried it wont be long enough for my pass

I heard that they will be using their sprung track but they may have a sprung floor in time too. If you're concerned, video your long pass and show them, then perform what you can fit in on the day. Good luck

I'm interested to know how they choose who will be apart of the squad, obviously they have to consider past members but what happens if lots of new people tryout with all the skills, will they choose the newer members over the older ones - some of which do not have the skills...? How would you go about choosing the squad roster?

Yeah they choose the people who have the skills. There have been people who didn't get back on even though they were on the team before.

I feel for RS and Genesis. They're both capable of much better performances as we've seen from them already this season but sometimes the nerves take over. So proud of all the British teams and wish them the best for finals.

@Post7, because of the agreement with IGF and SportAccord. Coincidentally that's also why hip-hop teams were dressed as they were.

@Post4, 1) you know when coaches knew about group/partner stunt divisions being axed? Last year. No one was training for worlds in that division.

2) you know what's better for cheer being treated as a sport than group/partner stunt divisions? BEING RECOGNISED AS A SPORT! Getting rid of it was one of the compromises that had to be made.

3) If you aren't good enough to compete in a full routine you shouldn't be at worlds. There doesn't need to be a division for people that can't dance or tumble. Like, if that's all you can do, go do Acro Gym.

4) Let's be real here, no-one is going to stop cheerleading because group and partner stunts aren't a division at worlds any more. They're still a division at domestic competitions, and the people good enough to go to worlds in that category are probably good enough to make the main team.

@Post5, it's not about money or complaints. Complaints won't make damn bit of difference. The issue is that the division is that the IGF sees it as simplified Acro Gym. They are not very far from the truth.
