Does Southampton Solent not have their own cheer squad now? Solent Ravens?

Yes, Solent Ravens do still exist. Vixens however do have girls from Solent University on the team as well as University of Southampton and some non-uni students. Thanks.

Sadly I agree that this started as a decent enough idea but has not turned out for what it was intended. Reading the list of competitors I do not think this in any way represents the best of the best. In fact no where near the best. Again earning places at small regionals with very little or very weak competition or pretty empty natuonal comps. Everyone knows the best of the best will be top 3 at FC nationals and ICC nationals. No other nationals is quite there yet though jamfest isnt far off. BCA nationals is nowhere near the standard of FC and ICC or jamfest probably due to offering bids at a regional comp a few weeks later, something that seems pretty stupid to me. Anyway the summit is a joke and completely pointless pretty much like ECU lol.

Hi all,
Royals coach here.

Our athlete is still in hospital, I'm afraid I have no further news at the moment. We're respecting her privacy and her family's at the moment.

Thank you for the messages of love and support.

I am so proud of our kids for getting back out there and finishing the routine with such energy. Understandbly, they were all pretty distraught by what happened and it was bloody hard for them to hit the mat again.

Re the going full out in second round. Andrea specifically told us we HAD to do every stunt from the start. You may have seen me run back stage just before their routine to tell them that's what they had to do. The original plan was to mark through the start.

Believe me, having a full blown epileptic seizure on the competition floor and restarting our routine without a flier... Was by no way an advantage. We got heavy deductions which cost us and put us last place.
So please don't say it was unfair we restarted. We didn't get marked for the first part of the routine, only after where our first routine stopped. We made the decision not to pull in a stand in as a coach team. This was because we didn't want to fluster our level 3s for the later competition.

I'm so proud of our level 2s for being so brave, such a awful thing to happen and far beyond anyone's control.

We'll be at Bournemouth, I'd love it if you could all cheer them on like mad!

Thank you for the support cheer community,

Coach Al
