Does Southampton Solent not have their own cheer squad now? Solent Ravens?

Yes, Solent Ravens do still exist. Vixens however do have girls from Solent University on the team as well as University of Southampton and some non-uni students. Thanks.

I think the main concern is with the quality and quantity.

When we purchased, we believe both routines would be photogrpahed across the two days, however they seem to be of only day one, and a limited amount at that. I do not mean this offensively, but for a business that seems to have a big interest in the sport, I felt a lot of the photos did not capture the routines at the appropriate time - Coming down from stunts and jumps etc mainly.

In terms of quality, a lot of the images are blurry and out of focus. When you combine that with the fact only a few photos were captured at the right moment, it leaves a very small selection of photos that are actually usable.

I also believe that the higher level teams photo's (starlets, unity black, ruby etc) seem to be more in focus and better timing, along with a bigger selection. I'm not saying this was intentional, but it makes smaller teams feel slightly neglected. Ofcourse these teams are incredible and the photo's produced would ofcourse be great, but small teams should recieve the same service.

However this is just feedback, and as you are a small family business, I expect it was a very long and difficult weekend for you!

Black will be rubbish at 5! Flyers can only basket and why will people stay when they came from their own, closer lvl 5 teams. IMEO they should stay 6 as it gives people something to aim for. The only reason people join black now is cos they are the only lvl 6 team around

Any advice on recruiting?

ICC is always quite unorganised, such as shoving you in a back room for 40 minutes before awards, and have given out wrong trophies in the past - Although, i think jamefest has also done that. However, as mentioned above, all the top teams go to icc nationals and so it is great to watch. If you have dance and cheer teams though, they are incredibly long days.

FC is always so well run and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, so i'd definitely recommend them as an event organiser, although i haven't been to any more north competitions of theirs.

I am actually quite the fan of BCA... I always find it has the best atmosphere as the teams are a lot friendlier (personal opinion). Problem is, people go around saying they're stuck in the past, even when they haven't competed there for about 5 years, so therefore no big teams go even though they offer great facilities, friendly staff, cash prizes and bids. I would definitely consider BCA if you want a fun competition with not as much pressure.
