3rd place in grand champs wasn't Cambridge Cougars (My team! We only had teams in 3 divs today), I think it was Cardiff Snakecharmers tied with the other 2?

This is just what I heard through a friend but apparently Exeter had no standing tumbling so didn't score anything for that part of the score sheet. Saw them having a long discussion with Adele. Great shame as I though their routine was really great, and their group stunt and dance was fab too!!! Very clean! Well done Exeter!

Also apparently a lot of their team crouched on the black border of the mat which counts as off so lost a lot of silly points, real shame as the routine was great

Yeah they just had all girl cheer, but I'm sure they said Cardiff Snakecharmers! Maybe I misheard! Can anyone clarify?

I heard SnakeCharmers too!! I'm so confused, they can't have come joint third with Tom Cats or Dynamite, they only entered one team... And came second in that division? It's impossible that they came joint third overall. It would affect the cash prizes as well... maybe ICC made a mistake in the annoucements, there was quite a bit of misinformation floating around!

We find that getting the flyers to drill popping their hip to twist helps as it prevents them from throwing their shoulders. Try even just lying on the floor and practicing the twists to counts making sure you weight and don't twist to early, popping your hip to turn rather than your shoulders.

@Post2 That helped alot thank you!

i find the main problem new flyers have with kick full or kick double baskets is that they either try and twist with their upper body first, so they don't keep their body in one complete part, eg. the shoulders twist first and the kick comes after, or they kick diagonally across their body and try and make the kick part of the first twist, rather than riding the basket up and allowing the kick to help initiate the first quarter turn/half turn depending whether you start your basket to the back or to the side. try and think of it as painting a rainbow, and your foot is the paintbrush. twisting from libs, if you're starting in arabesque, pretend like you're kicking a ball into a net with your left leg, making sure you wait for the release first - many flyers try and just twist using their shoulders which is manageable from two legs but from a lib just ends up in a bit of a mess. twisting faster the best advice i can give is to really make sure you are wrapping as tightly and as fast as you can, but also making sure that you do wait for the pop before twisting, it gives so much extra height, which obviously will eman you have more time to get round. hope this helped x

I'm new to flying level 5 and I tend to panic in stunts, does anyone have any drills I can use to build my confidence in double twisting, twisting faster and kick double baskets?

Thanks :)
