Thankyou!

Before I start, please be aware that I am not for or against BCA in any way. However I don't think some of you realise the cost of just moving to another venue. After looking at the capacity on the website, it would seem that it is around 2 - 2500 after taking out seating for the competition floor. If they were to move to say, the Bolton Arena (capacity 6000 or 4500 ish after being set out for a competition) then that might incur an extra cost of somewhere in the region of £50k, if not more. There are only a limited number of venues large enough in the country, let alone in the north west, so you would have to look at if the venue is booked up at that time of year also.
So after the extra cost of the venue, you would have to then add in the cost of extra venue staff, extra audio and lighting equipment etc and that figure could rise exponentially.
So where would this extra money come from? Well my guess would be that it could only come from the entry and ticket fee's.
I suppose the only solution to the problem is to try and find some kind of happy medium where everybody is happy. Obviously this isn't yet the case.

Like I said, I'm not for or against BCA, this is a problem that all EP's will endure at some point. I just thought I would try and explain slightly that moving venues might not be as easy as some people make out on here.

Also I know at FC Jungle Fever there was a ticket issue and FC bought tickets back to sell on. This went down VERY well with our parents who felt they were getting something back. The suggestion from BCA is to "share wristbands" which again let's them off the hook when they could actually organise this themselves like FC did with the buy backs.

@post14 Because when FC sell out it's after GENERAL sale which means the parents have the choice of whether they get a ticket. BCA have chosen a venue which is too small (again) and they knew they would have these issues but did nothing to save coaches the hassle. They could have run sessions and sold session tickets but instead they'd rather allocate team tickets and leave the coach to bear the brunt of the bad organisation. And also BCA will take backlash because this is their mistake. The venue is too small, BCA have outgrown it. I realise there aren't many other venues in Blackpool but since it's the 'northern' regional they could move it to say, Manchester, and take advantage of the larger venues.

In terms of the comp being 'for the cheerleaders', most cheerleaders (tiny through junior especially) are funded by their parents. It's only right they should be able to watch their child's progress. Also, I know from my competitive days it's always great to have someone there to cheer you on.
