I understand what a partially paid bid is, buts what is an at large bid? I'm confused!
Thankyou!

Why is it then called "At Large" shouldnt that mean Large = More/Big

while Partial = Some/abit

I'm 20 and did cheer at a younger age yet the team I was on had more of a laid back aproach but I am more competetive and like to do the best but they never seemed to want to progress.
Anyway after leaving I really miss it and would love to get back into it, however I've lost my flex but have just started open gym at gymnastics.
What level is the team?
what do i need to be able to do to be on the team?
and
do you do conditioning? @Post2,

I agree with all of the above. I've done allstar cheer for years now and decided to continue to cheer at uni. It's unlikely that a uni team will be of the same standard as an all-star programme because the coaching and facilities are often not the same standard.
Your best bet is to look at what teams train on a sprung floor as this will mean keeping up skills will be easier. I know Cardiff and Leeds met both train on sprung, although can't comment on any others.
If you've done cheer before, the likelihood is you'll be able to make a huge impact at whatever uni team you join, helping the newer athletes learn the correct techniques. Uni teams are usually coached by their own athletes, making perfecting routines much more challenging!

Teams I've been impressed with this season are
Loughborough
Leeds met
Leeds
Queen Mary
Southampton
Birmingham
Cardiff
UCLU
