I understand what a partially paid bid is, buts what is an at large bid? I'm confused!
Thankyou!

Why is it then called "At Large" shouldnt that mean Large = More/Big

while Partial = Some/abit

Are there no camps for level 1 individuals under 10 at weekends?

She knows people look at her social media and view her as an important person in the sport. If she doesn't want to have a sense of responsibility then privatising her accounts is sensible.

@Post27, hard to judge how a statement 'sounds' when you're reading it in your own tone; she may have not meant for her post to sound condescending/patronising

I have seen people coached from level 2 tumbling to level 3 quite quickly, because they had a good foundation and then on to level 4 relatively quickly thereafter for the same reason. Not in 10 days, that's a bit unrealistic but a couple of months of consistent work, that's obviously not the case for everyone though so don't take that as the standard, people progress at different rates and that's fine. If you have the level 2 tumbling and you are working level 3 tumbling and are willing to put in the work that will count for something. A friend of mine made a level 3/4 team with no tumbling because she consistently turned up to all the tumble sessions and camps the gym held and I personally was on a level 3 team, when I was still cheering, with not brilliant incomplete level 1 tumbling but I'm very tall and I could really hold a stunt up. There's people in this country who are on level 5 teams with no tumbling too because they're awesome at another area of cheerleading e.g. stunting. I'd say that's not how it usually goes but it's not unheard of.

If you have based or flown level 3/4 skills before or are a more skilled base/back or flyer then again that will put you in a slightly better position. If you are trying out for a flyer position and have a full range of good stretches, again that'll be looked upon favourably. Same with having good jump technique already in place, sharp motions etc.

Things you can do in 10 days - go to open gyms/camps or try and book a private tumbling lesson so you can get a few more reps of your tuck in. Don't do anything silly or dangerous, make sure you are getting someone who is a qualified coach to spot your tumbles and use appropriate spotters when trying any stunts as well. Accidents can still happen even when you take these precautions so be safe. Go over anything else needed for the tryout e.g. tryout dance and make sure you're really hitting the motions sharp and performing it. Stretch out every day, do jump conditioning and drills each day, okay yeah not going to see a huge improvement in 10 days but it's better than not doing it. Other than that as someone has said just go to the tryout with a positive attitude, do your best and just do what you can do. Don't stress about it too much, if you make the team you want to make brilliant, if not use this next season to keep working as you have already done.
