Hi Guys,

For Jungle Fever, Winter Wonderland & Heart of England the days will be split the same. Saturday will be all Tiny, Mini, Youth and Junior teams. Sunday will be all Senior and Senior Open teams. The only difference with Jungle Fever is that you get to compete twice in one day.

We have found that this gives the most even spread of teams over the two days.

For Saturday Night Fever all dance teams and stunt groups/partner stunts will all perform twice on Saturday. All cheer teams will perform twice on Sunday.

Super Hero is likely to be a one day event with all teams on the same day.

FC Brings It On is also a one day competition with the parade on the Sunday.

I hope that helps but if you want any more info please let me know.

We find that getting the flyers to drill popping their hip to twist helps as it prevents them from throwing their shoulders. Try even just lying on the floor and practicing the twists to counts making sure you weight and don't twist to early, popping your hip to turn rather than your shoulders.

@Post2 That helped alot thank you!

i find the main problem new flyers have with kick full or kick double baskets is that they either try and twist with their upper body first, so they don't keep their body in one complete part, eg. the shoulders twist first and the kick comes after, or they kick diagonally across their body and try and make the kick part of the first twist, rather than riding the basket up and allowing the kick to help initiate the first quarter turn/half turn depending whether you start your basket to the back or to the side. try and think of it as painting a rainbow, and your foot is the paintbrush. twisting from libs, if you're starting in arabesque, pretend like you're kicking a ball into a net with your left leg, making sure you wait for the release first - many flyers try and just twist using their shoulders which is manageable from two legs but from a lib just ends up in a bit of a mess. twisting faster the best advice i can give is to really make sure you are wrapping as tightly and as fast as you can, but also making sure that you do wait for the pop before twisting, it gives so much extra height, which obviously will eman you have more time to get round. hope this helped x

I'm new to flying level 5 and I tend to panic in stunts, does anyone have any drills I can use to build my confidence in double twisting, twisting faster and kick double baskets?

Thanks :)
